8th Grade
August 12, 2014
Student Council sponsored a "Wet Welcome Back" swim party for the eighth graders. There was swimming, water slides,music and pizza. A fun time was had by all.Thanks to everyone for helping to make the party a big success.

Easter Hats and Parade

The preppies and their buddies put on their annual Easter parade and Pre-K showed off their Easter hats.

Student Council Visits Baton Rouge
March 24, 2014
Student council took a field trip to Baton Rouge.They toured the new capital building, where they meet and visited with Rep. Patrick Connick. They learned about the history of Huey P. Long and where he was shot in the capital.They sat in on a legislative assembly meeting and was introduced to the committee members. They sat and had lunch on the grounds of the old capital building before their tour. The student finished the day with a visit to the Louisiana State Museum. Two group participated in a Louisiana history trivia game. The "non-winners" of the game got to dress up and entertain us with a skit and song. It was not only an educational and interesting day but the weather was beautiful.

"Saints Camp"
January 7, 2014
The 2nd - 5th grade students took part in Saints camp.The learned about drug awareness and staying fit They also worked at several stations learning different football techniques. Thanks to Mrs. Elena for setting up this event and to all the volunteers who helped make this a success.

3rd Annual Book Fair
December 9, 2013
St. Rosalie held their third annual book fair at Barnes and Nobles. Many of the students came out dressed in their costumes. They purchased book to help raise money for our school libraries.Thanks to Ms. Kris and Ms. Patti for all their hard work to make this event such a success.

"Red Ribbon Week"
October 22, 2013

We will be celebrating "Red Ribbon Week" on October 28-31. There are many activities planned for the students. Through these activities the students will become more aware of the harmful effects of drugs, as well as how to resist them.

Daily School Themes:

Monday, Oct. 28 - "Orange you glad you're drug free?"

Tuesday, Oct. 29 -  "Team up against Drugs"

Wednesday, Oct. 30 - "Follow your dreams" and remain drug free

Thursday, Oct. 31 - Don't be "scared" to be drug free


"Save Lids To Save Lives"
October 7, 2013
October is "Breast Cancer Awareness" Month. Student council is teaming up with General Mills to collect pink lids to help in the fight against breast cancer. All students are asked to bring in as many pink lids as possible from a variety of General Mills products.One day this month the students will wear their pink shirts and accessories to show their support for a good cause.

Student Council Elections
August 15, 2013
Any eighth grade student interested in running for our Student Council Executice Board needs to turn in their application along with their speech by Wednesday, August 21st. All those who meet the requirements to run wil be notified by Friday the 23rd. The election will take place on Wednesday, August 28th.

Classes Visit the Pope John Paul II Exhibit and Sculpture Garden

Several grade levels have attended the Pope John Paul II Exhibit at the City Park Museum of Art. Following the tour the students took a stroll through the sculpture garden and had lunch in the park.
